Everybody has a new password for every site he or she has to register on, right? Well you can try to remember all of these passwords or you can store them in a password manager application like KeePass. The principal of these kind of applications is that they store all of your passwords in one file. This file has a so called master password which will unlock all of your passwords. This is quite handy so have enough RAM left in your brain to memorize other useless stuff :-). The problem most password manager application have is that they don't have any synchronisation options between your phone and PC. Well let us take a look into that problem. First of all I would like to say that this little tutorial also applies to other password manager applications other then KeePass. As long as they use a password key file this trick will suit you. Only thing you have to look out for is that your password manager application needs to have a version that runs on your PC operating system and a version for your smartphone. This is way I like KeePass. KeePass runs on several operating systems for your PC and for your smartphone. It is also totally free (if you can please donate to them).
Please notice that as the moment of writing the Android version of KeePass only alows you to view the KeePass file created on your 2.x version on PC. But this will be fixed later on. |
